Technically, this is a placeholder; the test post for a website, associated with a project to spotlight the outsider film footage of Kentucky native Carl Roe. He did not aspire to an artistic career; video was one of the creative expressions he explored in his times not occupied with his daily life and family. I imagine he would be a bit surprised at the fuss made in presenting his work, which is more a celebration of the man than examination of his techniques. The expectation is that these words will be deleted or replaced with something more befitting an introduction to an exhibition. But if these words are accidentally preserved in posterity, let it be said that Carl Roe was a decent man who did much with little, and is missed by those who had the honor of knowing him.
